Phlox is one of my favorite plants. I was excited to see the four summer phlox I planted last year, and the six woodland phlox poking out of the soil this spring.
Phlox were the first perennials I planted in the first home I owned, pass-alongs from a kind elderly gardener friend and neighbor many years ago. Phlox remind me of her. I've always grown them because I love them, and in her honor.
Thank you everyone for stopping by on Wordless Wednesday. Sometimes I wish I had something better to show all the time but it gets hard photographing the same things on my balcony. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my photo they always bring me up when I'm hard on myself.
I love spring but it has already been going on here for a month or more. These phlox have taken their time growing then other seedlings I planted at the same time. I think it could just be where they are planted and with what that is making them so slow. I love seedlings and I always have many pictures of my seedlings in every stage possible.
